The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS; also known as CEDEAO) organized a webinar to explore how AI and Big Data will shape West Africa's Water future. I had the honour to join and do live Visual Note-taking throughout this virtual event!
The virtual event consisted of many elements, including multiple engaging activities, but I was asked to focus on 3 main parts:
the Keynote Speech by Dr Lisa-Maria Rebelo from Digital Earth Africa)
the fascinating panel discussion with representatives from NASA, AGRHYMET Regional Center, GWP-WA, ICRISAT and FAO
and the Q & A session in the end
This is a great example of what's possible when we decide to combine multiple sessions into one piece - although each of these would have deserved a canvas of their own, it is sometimes more practical and impactful to have one piece to take away.
At the end of the seminar, I was given the space to introduce myself and reveal the graphic, which was a great surprise to the attendees and a wonderful way to wrap up the event.
Read on if you'd like to find out more about this great virtual approach to Visual Note-taking!
