Do I just show up at an event... and draw?
The Live Illustration process is actually more complex than you'd think. In order to deliver the premium quality Graphic Recording you're looking for, we have a few pre- and post-event steps to take.
Luckily, I find that my clients enjoy being part of this process - and it’s through these steps that they become co-creators of their visual summary.

A pre-event Creative Planning Call
In this call, we get to make decisions about the content to include, the visual style and logistics
A branded Visual Template for Live Illustration
I always adapt the Live Illustration to your brand, and will work in your preferred style
AV testing
A technical rehearsal prior to the event (especially when I join virtually)
Live Illustration for the duration of the programme
And we can capture your event in your own colours and preferred style
Optional Screen Sharing
we can share the graphic during the event, during the breaks, or at the end of the day
The Polished Graphics in various formats
Both high resolution (for printing) and low-resolution (for online sharing) are provided right after the event
License to use the Graphic Recordings
...on social media, your website, for printing, or any internal purposes.
It's all yours - enjoy!
A Revision post-event
A round of edits is included in the quote, to make sure you're happy with every detail
The Live Graphic Recording and Visual Note-taking Process
Whether it's a Visual Note-taking during a quick online meeting, or Graphic Recording during sessions of an important global summit, the process above is generally the same!
The Process for Live, Hybrid and Remote Event Illustration
Remote Live Illustration still comes with more or less the same steps of preparation, as the desired outcome is the same. There's less logistics to worry about when it comes to online or hybrid event illustration, all we need is a quick AV test prior to the event.
